The Atacama desert was awesome!! Absolutely fantastic. Valle de la Luna: blows your mind. Salar de Atacama with flamingo`s: amazing colours. Geysers el Tatio, impressive and cold! Valle de la Luna is famous for its resemblance to the surface of the moon, owing to its different stratifications and the salt formations that are caused by natural environmental factors. see picture. Geysers El Tatio, see picture below. Located approximately 4.320 meters above sea level. They are formed when a frozen underground river makes contact with hot rocks. And the town of San Pedro de Atacama was very nice. During the day it was very warm and in the evening temperatures dropped rappidly. Houses build from adobe and streets paved with only sand....

To South...
We took a plane back to Santiago and from there took a nightbus south straight away. Until we reached the town of Pucon. Pucon is a small town in the middle of the lake district of Chile. Here you can climb a volcano, hike till you drop, raft and kayak till you`re soaking wet, or rent a mountain bike. We will stay here for two days and then we will leave Chile for a short while to go to Bariloche, Argentina. And after that way more south. If the weather allows us to. Here´s hoping...

Wat geweldig mooi allemaal en zo divers. De foto's liegen er ook niet om. Super mooi! Toch wel gaaf hoor dat we je zo kunnen volgen via je blog...zien wij ook nog eens iets van de wereld. Ik hoop dat je het qua weer lekker warm gaat krijgen. Want hier in Nederland kan het niet op, lijkt wel hoogzomer? Alleen de uitzichten bij jou zien er een stuk beter uit hahaha. Geniet lekker verder...ik blijf je volgen.

Wat een prachtige foto's, en echt leuk om je zo te kunnen volgen on your journey! Jacq. heeft gelijk hoor, met d'r uitzichten, hiervandaan een stukje zandvlakte met een paar bruinige sprietjes (gras?) haha, dus je weet wel waar ik zit! Uit je blog klinkt helemaal door dat je het geweldig en bijzonder hebt, fijn! Verheug me op een nieuw bericht, heb het goed!

Als ik jou was zou ik snel terugreizen naar NL. Het is hier fantastisch, want lekker weer!! Veluwe is angstaanjagend droog, zo lekker is het weer. En Zuid-Amerika, ach, daar is eigenlijk weinig an ;-)
(ik zit er vlgd wk weer even een pr dgn, in Sao Paulo, stoeien met sojaboeren)
